Lawlors Ltd was incorporated in 1976 by the former MD of the company
Arthur James Lawlor. With the growing trend of artex decoration fast
becoming established, Mr Lawlor had foreseen a place in the market
for a quality trade company which would specialise in this type of décor.

Within a few years Lawlors grew from strength to strength incorporating a balance
between quality service and affordable labour. Seeing the growth of the company,
Arthur Lawlor decided to use the expertise of his son, James Lawlor to help expand
the business into many other areas. For the next few years James Lawlor would play
a key role within the business, taking it to new levels and ultimately take on
responsibility as the new managing director of Lawlors.

Over the next few decades Lawlors had moved with the times, saying goodbye
to the Artex company it once was, to be in business as a major painting and
decorating company with a solid reputation. By now Lawlors was already employing over 60 men directly to cope with work load and by 1995, the property service area of Lawlors started to take control. Again working with the ethic of quality service and affordable labour, clients started to use Lawlors for all their refurbishment needs, knowing full well that it would be a job well done from start to finish.

After 30 years and still to this day, the company has remained a family run business.
