| The Cossall industrial estate project proved to be a major challenge as well as a huge accomplishment for Lawlors. Five derelict factory units required extensive refurbishment including recladding, roof repair and replacement, new electrical and mechanical installations, purpose built canteen and sanitary facilities and an office refurbishment. Externally, a stream had to be culverted to allow an existing carpark to be extended and resurfaced and roadways and footpaths had to be renewed. Additionally two of the units were knocked into one which necessitated the demolition of an existing office building to incorporate two new roller shutter positions and entrance ramps and the blocking up of the existing openings. While many areas of work were sub-contracted, the majority was carried out using Lawlors own tradesmen thus cutting down on client costs and obtaining efficiency. The project was completed to an exceptionally high standard and ahead of programme. | |
